Peoplespecifically Plumbing is a referral service. Homeowners come to us after a pipe bursts, a drain backs up or a sewer line fails. We pass those requests to independent providers in our network. You keep your own business, your own crew and your own prices.
This is not a job with Peoplespecifically Plumbing. There are no shifts and no employment. It is a way to be found by homeowners in Detroit and the Detroit area who need help. We do not promise any number of requests, and volume will vary with the season and the weather.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for independent contractors who handle one or more of these:
- Emergency plumbing repairs
- Drain cleaning and emergency drain clearing
- Sewer line repair and replacement
- Blocked pipe services, including camera inspection
Providers who know local conditions are especially useful. Deep frost, spring flooding, sump pump problems and older frame homes all shape the work here.
What we expect
Homeowners are stressed when they call. We ask providers to meet a few basics:
- Hold the licenses and insurance required where you work
- Give a written quote before starting
- Explain findings in plain language
- Be honest about what you can and cannot do
- Treat the homeowner and the home with respect
We also ask that you speak only for your own business. Do not describe yourself as part of Peoplespecifically Plumbing, and do not promise things you cannot control.

- The towns or areas you cover
- Your license and insurance details
- A good contact method for homeowner requests
